Building Brighter Futures in Dallas

Child Welfare

The Father’s Table recently provided a grant to Catholic Charities of Dallas for the renovations of their Santa Clara Regional Community Center, and their “Together We Learn” Program.

“Together We Learn” is a family centered program that reaches two generations at one time. Parents and care givers enrolled in the program focus on understanding the English language, written and spoken, and equipping them to be able to be their child’s first teacher and educational advocate. The four modules of this program are child development, health and safety, advocacy, and ‘Work Ready!’ – a ESL, GED, job skills and placement sub-program that will serve the family once they’ve completed the program.

Early childhood education, essential to this program, is lead by experienced and professionally trained teachers and includes integrated learning through small group activities, art projects, music, and sensory play.
